MONUMENTAL SPRING FOR PAULINE FERRAND-PRÉVOT

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has added yet another prestigious title to her impressive palmarès. Last Saturday, she won Paris-Roubaix 2025—in her very first appearance at the event. Her win capped off a strong spring campaign, having already finished second in the Tour of Flanders and third in Strade Bianche earlier this season.

The Roubaix win also carries a personal twist. Pauline’s partner, Dutch rider Dylan van Baarle, won Paris-Roubaix in 2022, meaning the couple now owns a pair of unusually heavy pieces of home décor: two iconic Roubaix cobblestone trophies.

Pauline is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished cyclists of her generation. In 2014-2015, she made history by becoming the first rider to hold world titles in road racing, mountain biking and cyclo-cross at the same time. She has since won thirteen individual elite world championships and added an Olympic gold medal to her collection in Paris 2024.

Her return to the road this year marks a new chapter. “I have achieved all my goals in mountain biking, it’s time for a new challenge,” Pauline said at the start of the season. That challenge is already taking shape. Backed by SEG Cycling and riding for Visma | Lease a Bike, Pauline’s next big target is to win one of the coming Tours de Femmes—an ambition that now looks increasingly realistic.
