Pauline extends through 2028 and sets new goals

Fresh off a sensational 2025 season, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has extended her contract with Team Visma | Lease a Bike until the end of 2028. The winner of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes can now fully focus on her next goals: continue dominating in the Tour while preparing for the ultimate stage, the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

After announcing in 2024 that she would step away from mountain biking and return to the road, Pauline sat down with her SEG agents to map out this next phase of her career. One goal stood above all: winning the Tour de France Femmes within three years.

Together with SEG, she chose Team Visma | Lease a Bike, a team capable of offering the structure, expertise and environment needed to build towards a Tour victory. A three-year plan was drawn up, designed to give Pauline the best possible chance to reach that goal.

What happened next exceeded even the boldest expectations. In her very first season with the team, Pauline conquered the legendary Paris–Roubaix Femmes and went on to claim overall victory at the Tour de France Femmes. What was meant to take three years was accomplished in just one.

With that big target achieved so quickly, Pauline and her SEG agent Martijn Berkhout sat down again to redefine the road ahead. If the Tour had been the original dream, the next dot on the horizon is now clear: the 2028 Summer Olympics. Pauline wants to challenge herself once more and arrive in Los Angeles in the best shape possible.

That ambition was discussed extensively with Team Visma | Lease a Bike. Together they decided to create a new three-year plan running through 2028. It resulted in a one-year contract extension that provides exactly what Pauline values most: peace of mind.

“With her future secured, Pauline can fully focus on training, racing and developing her skills,” says Martijn Berkhout. “Team Visma | Lease a Bike will continue to support her with the same structure, equipment and expertise that helped deliver such an extraordinary first season.”

“Pauline is very happy with the peace of mind this contract brings. And of course, Visma is happy as well. We’ve been able to help Pauline take important steps in her career. The SEG team surrounding Pauline will continue building this project around her career in the coming years. There are many exciting challenges and opportunities ahead.”
